Another graduate appears in this story.  He drives the ambulance that carries some captives to the College.

A significant portion of this story occurs overseas.  That presents no impediment to their treatment.  A steamer is diverted to pick up the candidates for transport to upstate New York.

 

An interesting book by Aleko Lilius may interest readers of this story.  I Sailed with Chinese Pirates was published in 1931 by J. W. Arrowsmith and details Lillus’ experiences with the Chinese pirates.  What is particularly fascinating is the female pirate leader Lai Choi San.
