THE TERROR IN THE NAVY!
I read this story back
when they were available on-line and got a little something "extra"
for my trouble. |
Toward the end of the
story this is what was in the electronic version: "Doc Savage took the man by the anus first, and got the
gun, then grasped the fellow's neck, and the man became unconscious” |
"...and the man
became unconscious" I sure as hell bet he did! Imagine my surprise! Was
this the "real" terror in the navy? Egads! |
Upon a few minutes
reflection, it occurred to me that this could be an error caused by the
scanning software. I located my paperback edition and found this: "Doc Savage took
the man by the arms first, and got the gun, then grasped the fellow's neck, and the
man became unconscious." So it looks like it's
just a typo after all! Phew! For a moment I though Philip Farmer had somehow
gotten involved here. |
